Maria Filipescu began her creative journey very early: in 2000 she graduated Nicolae Tonitza Fine Arts High School – Bucharest and in 2004 she graduated the University of Fine Arts and Design in Bucharest- Romania where she was beautifully influenced by the teachers she had, forming a solid base of knowledge and polishing his skills and artistic view.

Maria Filipescu’s universe is a world of contrasts: clean-cut minimalistic shapes versus statement accessories with unique rich textures and elaborate compositions, a sweet dialog where opposites highlight each other’s character: from volumetric and sculptural shapes to expressive portraits and clean finish – metal, these are the key ingredients of Maria Filipescu’s elaborate creations.
